Keeping Girls Safe in School

With support from Aflatoun International and Spirit in Action, Hope for Relief Organisation is implementing this project in Rumphi and Chitipa District. This project targets school going adolescent girls aged 10-24 in primary and secondary schools. It is being supported by Spirit in Action and Aflatoun International. The project’s main goal to have a society where school girls in rural areas have access to adequate sanitary facilities for a healthy and empowered future generation. This project involves a number of initiatives including, constructing girls’ sanitary bathrooms, distributing reusable sanitary pads for free to rural poor school girls, holding engagement meetings between parents, mother groups, teachers and village committees and formation of Girls Clubs and Aflatoun Clubs. Dream it, Be it Programme

Welcome to WordPress. This is your first post. Edit or del Hope for Relief organization partnered with Soroptimist International from America to work with girls in several rural secondary and primary schools in Chitipa District. The project is implemented in 3 Girls Clubs in Chitipa District namely: Yamba Community Day Secondary School, Chinunkha Community Day Secondary School and Nachiwe Primary School. Prevention of Mother to Child HIV Transmission (PMTCT)

Hope for Relief Organisation is implementing a 2-year project on HIV/AIDS Prevention in Traditional Authority Kameme in Chitipa District. The goal of the project is to reduce mother to child transmission of HIV in Traditional Authority Kameme, Chitipa District in the northern region of Malawi by 60% through provision of inclusive and cohesive community based PMTCT driven approaches. The project  is geared towards raising awareness on PMTCT through Mother Buddies (MBs) and Self Help Groups (SHGs) who will reach out to HIV+ pregnant women regarding Antenatal care  (ANC)  services and AIDS treatment adherence.
